2025 Scholarship Winners The Gamma Omicron Omega 2025 Scholarship WinnersThe Gamma Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®️proudly awarded a total of $7,000 in scholarships to seven exceptional high school seniors from the East Texas area. The local sorority’s mission is to cultivate and promote scholastic achievement in young ladies in the East Texas community. The recipients are as follows:Jorean Douglas (Tyler High School) received a $1,500 scholarship. A participant inFashionetta in 2014, she is set to attend Tyler Junior College to pursue a major inPharmaceutical Science. Jorean embodies the legacy of her family, being the daughter of Mrs. Devinne Douglas-Holman, Member, and the granddaughter of a Golden Member, Mrs. Velora Douglas.Raelynn Fannin (Princeton Senior High School), a contestant in the 2009 Fashionetta, was also awarded $1,500. With plans to attend Texas Southern University and major in Psychology, Raelynn carries forward the family tradition as the granddaughter of member Barbara Fannin.Trinadee Jackson (Mineola High School) received a $1,000 scholarship. Her journey takes her to the University of North Texas, where she aspires to become a criminal attorney, reflecting her ambition and determination.Ka’Mya Henson-Key (Tyler High School), Olivia Hughes (Mineola High School), Fabiola Quijada (Legacy High School), and Taylor Stewart (Whitehouse High School) were each granted $750. With dreams of success, Miss Henson-Key will major in Psychology at theUniversity of Texas at Austin, while Miss Hughes embarks on her journey in Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University. Miss Quijada aims for greatness with a major in Musical Theater at Texas State University in San Marcos, and Miss Stewart aspires to practice Law at Texas Woman’s University. Each recipient exemplifies the spirit of ambitionand excellence.The scholarship program is under the leadership of member Vernora Jones, Chairman, and Delphnie Kennedy, Chapter President, and Rubye Walker Kendrick, Vice President.

We are honored to announce our 2024 Chapter Schola We are honored to announce our 2024 Chapter Scholarship Winners.Macy Fischer (Mineola High School), will be attending Texas A&M University with a major in Sports Management.JaNiecia Furch (Tyler Legacy High), plans to attend Tyler Junior College and Texas A &M University with a major in Veterinary Science.  Furch participated in our scholarship benefit for three years.  She won 2nd Runner Up in 2024 Miss Fashionetta category.Jaslyn Gilliam (Tyler High School), 2024 Miss Fashionetta winner plans to attend Tyler Junior College with a major in Social Work.  She is a proud member of the TJC Apache Band. Jaslynn plans to continue her undergraduate studies at Stephen F. Austin UniversityKamryn Duncan (Tyler High School) will be attending the University of North Texas with a major in Psychology. Kamyrn is the daughter of member LaTunya Duncan and sister of member Ke’Undra Mumphrey.Ja’Kayla Snow (Tyler High School), will be attending Texas Southern University, majoring in Secondary Education.
